University and residences car parking England

The request was partially successful.

Dear University of Winchester,

I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information act.

How many parking spaces do you have available to students on campus?

What are the distances (in miles) from the halls of residence to the main university campus? Please list names and distances between campuses if there are more than one. Please also list the distance between your nearest halls of residence to each campus.

If there is parking available on all university campuses, are there any parking charges? If so, what are these? Please list all campus parking charges if there are differences in pricing.

Are the parking spaces at the university campus secured at night and at weekends? If so, how?

If there is parking available at the student halls of residence, what are the parking charges? Please list all residences parking charges if there are differences in pricing.

Are the parking spaces at the halls of residence secured at night and at weekends? If so, how?
If students require parking permits to park at their halls of residence or on campus, how much do these cost?

If you do have permits or parking charges both at campus and halls of residence, how many parking fines have been issued to students over the past 5 years?

Please let me know if you have any further questions or require further clarification.
Thank you,
Leia Reid

Dear Leia,

Regarding your freedom of information request, please find below the
response from the University of Winchester:

1.           How many parking spaces do you have available to students on
campus?

There are 413 spaces on campus, 31 of which are spaces for
blue badge holders only.  All of these spaces are available for students
to use if they are University parking permit holders.

2.            What are the distances (in miles) from the halls of
residence to the main university campus? Please list names and distances
between campuses if there are more than one. Please also              list
the distance between your nearest halls of residence to each campus.

Halls of residence are all on campus.

3.            If there is parking available on all university campuses,
are there any parking charges? If so, what are these? Please list all
campus parking charges if there are differences in pricing.

Yes, parking is on campus and there are parking charges. Charges are split
into either a full permit, which are shown on the table below or a Pay By
Phone permit for the occasional user. This permit costs £5.00 and you are
then charged at £0.30 per hour to park plus a £0.20 convenience charge per
visit.

The University is unable to answer this question as a parking ticket could
be issued to anyone that should not be parked on site. We do not know if
these offenders are a student, staff member, contractor, visitor or other
and therefore we would not record this information
