Universal credit

We're waiting for Sarah Hawkins to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I was on a joint claim of esa on the support group with sever disabilities payment and it was on my husbands name but we split up on January this year so I was told to go universal credit ! I’ve lost soo much money and all the extra help I used to get with the council tax and my kids college free bus pass and bursary ended when claiming universal credit and all I was told it’s because I’m on universal credit now so I can’t get the extra help ! I now get the unable to work 319 pounds extra in my money and when I asked if I was goin to get any transition payments I was told no because the original claim wasn’t in my name it was my husbands ! Well that’s not fair I was still on it and I was still disabled ! Of course married couples claim together ! So now I’m not instilled to any help due to it not being my claim ! I’m even payin more council tax even though I get less money due to I’m not intiltled to the Max help because I’m on universal credit! I feel very screwed over ! I can’t work as I have congestive cardiac failure along with a lot of complicated health conditions!

Yours faithfully,

Sarah Hawkins
