‘Unfairness’ of the 2019 Group Litigation Settlement
Dear Post Office Limited,
With regard to the Group Litigation Settlement of 2019, the Post Office’s Corporate website maintains that:
‘Whilst the settlement was jointly agreed in good faith as fair and appropriate in all the circumstances, subsequent media reports revealed that around £46 million of the £57.75 global payment was directed to the claimants’ funders and legal advisors. We continually urged the Government to address this unfairness’.

Please can you disclose all correspondence between the Post Office and UKGI/BEIS which supports the claim that the Post Office continuously urged the Government to address this unfairness.
Yours sincerely,
Eleanor Shaikh
