Your request was received on 7 May 2024 and I am dealing with it under the terms of the Freedom of 
Information Act 2000 (‘the Act’). 
 
You asked: 
 
I would like to request, for the Admissions cycles of 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and 2022-2023, 
data on (in the form of an excel sheet): 
(a) the number of applications and the number of successful offers for each undergraduate 
course, for students domiciled in Singapore 
 
The requested information is attached. Some suppression has been applied to prevent the risk of any 
individual being identified. In presenting the information in this way, the University is engaging the 
exemption at section 40(3A)(a) of the Act because the release of the raw data would breach the first 
data protection principle (the fair, lawful and transparent processing of personal data) as set out in the 
UK General Data Protection Regulation. This part of section 40 confers absolute exemption under the 
Act.
