Subject: Freedom of Information request - Undergraduate Medicine
Statistics

Dear University of Leeds,

1) How many offers were made for 2018 entry (or 2017 if 2018 statistics
are unavailable) for the A100 medicine course?

In 2018 a total of 359 offers were made.

2) How many places were available for 2018 entry (or 2017 if 2018
statistics are unavailable) for the A100 medicine course?

239 for home and 19 for international for 2018; 219 for home and 19 for
international in 2017.

3) Could you provide me with a list of all the A level grades of those who
started the A100 medicine course in 2018 (or 2017 if 2018 statistics are
not available)?

We are not able to provide a list of candidates with their A level grades
and it should also be noted that quite a lot of applicants offer
alternative to A levels (eg International Baccalaureate, Scottish Highers,
Access to Medicine courses, Foundation courses, and graduates who offer a
2i class of degree). In 2018, out of a total of 190 who took A levels, 128
gained AAA or above; 8 gained A*AB; 3 gained A*BB; 31 gained AAB; 2 gained
ABBB; 18 gained ABB or BBB, these were applicants who were admitted under
the Widening Participation Access to Leeds scheme.

Yours faithfully,

James Soudry
