Dear Mr Mohammad,

Freedom of Information Request (our reference FOI19-416)

We refer to your Freedom of Information request dated 15^th September. You
requested the following information:

“Please can you compose a spreadsheet of the number of applicants who
applied to your undergraduate Dentistry course after re-sitting their
A-Levels and achieving successful grades. Please also include whether they
were interviewed and extended an offer and their UKCAT/BMAT score.”

University’s Response

Further to Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the “Act”) we
confirm that the information requested is held by the University of
Bristol (the “University”).

Please find the information requested on the document attached.
Information has been provided for the 2018 admissions cycle. Please note
that the University does not release exact counts of less than 5 because
these are personal data of third parties or, if linked with other personal
identifiers in the public domain, would be likely to become personal data.
This information has been withheld under section 40(2) of the Act, on the
grounds that disclosure would likely breach the data protection principles
enshrined in the Data Protection Act 2018.

We are unable to provide individual UKAT scores as this is also personal
information. We have therefore grouped the scores. I trust you will find
this information useful.

Information concerning whether the University considers applications from
individuals who have taken resits can be found in the admissions statement
for the course.
