FOI Response
FOI #13028
Dear Lady Fleming
In response to your FOI enquiry:-
Please find the attached spreadsheet.
Regarding:
4: This includes a column of number of persons summonsed who attended the
hearing. The Court Officer has not recorded the number who chose to appear
and state their case to the magistrates. However over these 5 years from
memory they would estimate around 3.
7: The actual cost of each hearing is not calculated out each time. A
calculation sheet of reasonable costs based on previous years staffing
costs is presented to the magistrates. This is attached.
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. An internal review request should be
submitted in writing within 40 working days of receiving the original
reply and should be addressed to:
Phil Grafton, Monitoring Officer, Stratford-on-Avon District Council,
Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6HX.
If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at:
Information Commissioner's Office,
Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
