Uncontrolled Crossings

Colin Attree made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Transport This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

We're waiting for Colin Attree to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Department for Transport,

1. What is the DfT stance on the use of 'uncontrolled' crossings by Local Authorities especially those that bear no resemblance to a traditional 'controlled' crossing?

2. Do DfT keep national records/statistics on accident/near misses on uncontrolled compared with traditional controlled crossings? If so, could you provide statistics for the period January 2017 to January 2019?

3. Which UK Local Authorities employ uncontrolled crossings?

Yours faithfully,

Colin Attree
