Ukrainians access to Universal Credit

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

The Secretary of State at the Department for Work and Pensions has announced that those arriving from the Ukraine will have access to Universal Credit in addition to other welfare.

I would be grateful if you could confirm if they will be means tested? It is possible that despite being a refugee they may have a personal wealth in excess of £16,000. If this was the case would they still be entitled to claim Universal Credit?

Yours faithfully,

Thomas Klein
