UKIP Scotland

Scott Watson made this Freedom of Information request to Electoral Commission

The request was successful.

Dear Electoral Commission,

I would like to know if 'UKIP Scotland' exists in any registered form. In particular in the upcoming General Election is UKIP in Scotland registered as 'UKIP Scotland' or just UKIP?

I ask as David Coburn MEP is now apparently the leader of UKIP Scotland but I can't find any evidence where UKIP Scotland is seen as being a separate entity from UKIP. Is UKIP Scotland an accounting unit like Scottish Labour for example?

Yours faithfully,

Mr Watson

FOI, Electoral Commission

Dear Mr Watson -

Many thanks for your request dated 26 March 2015.

UK Independence Party (UKIP) in Great Britain have descriptions registered
of "UKIPScotland" and "UK Independence Party Scotland". The party may well
have a leader for Scotland but the overall leader of the party remains
Nigel Farage.

The party has a number of accounting units, some of which are based in
Scotland, and the full list can be found here:

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further
information.

Your sincerely
