Hi Wayne,

I've found this http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/siteco...

Are those really internal newsletters? They seem to be available for public access.

Wayne Pearsall left an annotation ()

its likely they realise that they will be subject to other FOI requests... i didnt think of removing the filename :P

and yes, they are internal...

thanks for that :) still need the further ones - its supposed to be bi-monthly... this means that there are a number of issues "missing" ?

november, jan, = quarterly (3 months)...

"The UK Border Agency produces a bi-monthly update for partners to provide regular information on its work, its recent achievements and successes, and forthcoming activities across the agency, its regions and the Home Office.

The update is published in January, March, May, July, September and November."

Internal = partners etc... IE: DVLA/UKBA/Police ETC...

I think they are all there from issue 2 (July 2010) to issue 17 (January 2013). No idea what happened with issue 1 :)

The only one that we are waiting is issue 18 (March 2013). But Theresa May "shut" them off so I'm not sure if they still managed to get it done.

There should be 6 issues in a year (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov). Hence, bi-monthly published in odd months.

Do I get it right?

Wayne Pearsall left an annotation ()

Well, issue 1 is missing, there may infact be an issue 1.5, 2.5 etc which dont get posted online etc... - all of this provides excellent reading... all the same,... there are missing documents :)

Dear Freedom Of Information Team ( IND ),

Following on from: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

Can you confirm that you do not produce a simular document for the two new services which have "came out of" UKBA... as requested on my FOI Request
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/u...

I note that on my request for mays edition you state:
"Thank you for your e-mail of 20/05/13, in which you ask for May's UK Border Agency News - our bi-monthly update for partners new letter. The Home Office does not hold the information which you have requested. The UK Border Agency ceased to exist on 26 March hence the 'UKBA' communication product is now obsolete. The last edition was published at the end of January"

However, you make no mention of a newsletter produced by either of the new services (of a simular nature).

I note:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/siteco...
"These organisational changes to the UK Border Agency do not affect the validity of any reference to the agency in any document or form on this website."

Maybe they can answer that in th e internal review.

Dear UK Border Agency,

further to my mail of 27th may in which I request an internal review for the late response, add to that section 50 requires you to provide ico contact details...

Also, I believe the response withholds information which is clearly I'm scope. If the information which was provided in an existing document under a different name, this would be in scope. If not, then please answer this question: how do you keep partners updated now. I find it unbelievable that communications of this sort would simply cease.

Dear UK Border Agency,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of UK Border Agency's handling of my FOI request 'UKBA internal news letter...'.

Further to my request 27210, Andy Woodgate has told myself that the latest releases we're in sept and nov 2013, Can I correctly assume that 2013 was a mistype (and therefore incorrect information was provided to myself?)...

Andy informed myself of the following in his Internal Review:
"20. The Home Office engages with its partners using a number of different methods for example via the Home Office/UKBA website, meetings, etc. However, the newsletter is not being produced at this time.".

I do not feel that this "etc." covers the entire requirement of the act.

As highlighted in 19. of the IR, this was a new request for information. I am certain the Home Office stores information on how it (the old UKBA - now Immigration & Visa Service / Immigration Enforcement Unit) communicates with its partners.

Therefore, Please respond and provide ALL information that you hold on the subject. The HO have already breached the act by failing to respond promptly to this request.
