Dear Mr Moore,
Re: School Data for Child Safety Campaign

Many thanks for your email dated 3^rd September 2011 where you have asked
under the Freedom of Information Act for the following data:-

Name of School, School 4 digit code, Address, Head Teacher Name, Telephone
Number, Fax Number, Email Address, Web Address, Name of Head Teacher,
Number of Pupils In each Year, Total On Roll, Total Boys, Total Girls,
Type of School: Grammar / Private / Religious.

I am not classifying your request as a Freedom of Information request as
the majority of this data is already publicly and freely available. The
only part of your request which cannot be fulfilled is the email addresses
of schools.

In order to reduce the burden of schools being contacted, the Department
protects this field. Also, as some of the email addresses on EduBase are
actually personal addresses they are not for public view and due to the
timeframe required to cleanse this data it would exceed the cost threshold
set by the Department of three days.

However, the remainder of the data you require can be filtered and
downloaded from EduBase. I have enclosed a copy of the user agreement for
you to complete, once this is received and has been countersigned access
to EduBase can be provided so that you can filter the exact data that you
require.

I look forward to receiving your completed form.

Yours sincerely,
