Please provide me with a map showing the geographic extent of UK
internal waters as defined by the UN convention of the law of the
sea.

If you are unable to provide a map then a clearly set out
description of the limits will suffice, providing it clearly names
the points of land and other geographic features upon which the
description of the extent of the waters is based.

Dear Mr Dowden,

Your communication dated August 6 is considered to be a request for
information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Please find below the information you requested regarding the two points
that mark the extremity of UK internal waters in the Thames Estuary.

The positions of the ends of the Thames Bay Closing line are:

51-23-08.75279N 1-16-05.33009E

51-46-32.08506N 1-08-12.11649E

Those positions are correct at 10/8/10, but are liable to change as the
baseline is ambulatory in nature. The positions are referred to the WGS84
datum.

If you are unhappy with this response or you wish to complain about any
aspect of the handling of your request, then you should contact me in the
first instance. If informal resolution is not possible and you are still
dissatisfied then you may apply for an independent internal review by
