Thank you for your email of 17 May asking whether, if a UK Medical
University had graduates already registered with the GMC previously, the
registration of subsequent graduates is guaranteed from that specific UK
university in future. I’ve considered your request under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

You can find guidance for the final year students and graduates of medical
schools on how to apply for registration on our website here: [1]I'm a
final year student or graduate of a UK medical school and want to apply
for provisional registration - GMC (gmc-uk.org). It would not be accurate
to say registration is ‘guaranteed’, as each application is considered in
line with our process. However, only a handful of applications are refused
each year.
