Dear University College London,

I am writing to request information on UCL's investments in the arms trade and the funding it receives.

As you may be aware, you responded to a similar FOI by Elliot Murphy in 2016 (https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/u....

I would like updated statistics for the financial years 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18, in the same format as the previous FOI. That is, relating to the companies and their subsidiaries according to this non-exhaustive online list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Companies_... that you followed last time.

Yours faithfully,

Benjamin Goodwin

Dear Mr Goodwin,

Apologies for the delay in providing a response to your request for
information.

We have now completed the compilation of information in response to your

We can confirm that we do hold some information of the description
specified in your request and this information is provided below and
attached.

I am writing to request information on UCL's investments in the arms trade
and the funding it receives.

As you may be aware, you responded to a similar FOI by Elliot Murphy in
2016 ([1]https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/u....

I would like updated statistics for the financial years 2015-16, 2016-17
and 2017-18, in the same format as the previous FOI. That is, relating to

the last five financial years.

A5) Please find attached valuation and stock listings for 2015/16, 2016/17
and 2017/18. The format of 2017/18 differs from the other years as it is a
consolidated report which, brings together the holdings of the two
investment managers UCL now uses. Prior to that UCL has only retained a
single investment manager.

Q6) Please also confirm if any shares are held in the above companies

as part of a pension fund or endowment, either directly or

indirectly through an externally managed fund. Details should be broken
down, year-by-year for the last five financial years.

A6) UCL has not held any investments, directly or indirectly in the listed
companies specifically mentioned in the FOI request. However, UCL’s fund
managers did hold an interest in United Technologies Corp which is listed
in the Wikipedia companies by arms sales at 31^st July 2018.

* Please note that in relation to “industrial research fees”, the research
funding figures provided for questions 1 and 3 include all eligible
research income, so any ‘fee’ or similar which is not already included in
these figures is not income we can class as research.
