Dear Newcastle University,
Under the FOI act, please can you confirm what the UCAT cut off score was last year for your Dentistry BDS course. Also can you confirm the average accepted score in UCAT for Dentistry in 2018
My daughter wishes to apply to your university this year and the information would be most useful, many thanks

Yours faithfully,
Janet Jerram

Dear Janet,

Thank you for your request for information, which we have handled under
the Freedom of Information Act (2000). You requested the following:

Under the FOI act, please can you confirm what the UCAT cut off score was
last year for your Dentistry BDS course. Also can you confirm the average
accepted score in UCAT for Dentistry in 2018

Our response is as follows:

The UKCAT score cut-off entry onto this course in 2018 was 642.5. The
cut-off score for entry in 2019 was 637.5.

As we are only interested in whether a UKCAT score exceeds the cut-off or
not, we do not have any information on the average accepted score.

I hope that this is of use. If you are unhappy with the way we have
handled your request you can ask for an internal review. Details of how to
do this can be found at: [1]http://www.ncl.ac.uk/foi/access/complain...

If you are not happy with the outcome of the internal review, you then
have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner's Office
for a decision. Details of how to do this can be found at:
