TVP policy on the release of information on collisions
Dear Thames Valley Police,
On 30th May 2022 a serious road traffic collision involving a cyclist occurred on the Botley Road, Oxford at or near the junction of Botley Road and Ferry Hinksey Road.
The Oxford Mail reported: "Thames Valley Police has now confirmed that the incident did not result in a fatality however the force was unable to provide further details because of its policy on collisions."
I have several questions:
1) What is the TVP "policy on collisions", will you please provide me with a copy the official policy and a link to a website where this policy is available to the public?
2)Who in the TVP is responsible for the formulation, the direction and enforcement of this policy?
Yours faithfully,
Peter Barnett
