Thank you for your correspondence. In response to your request I can now
provide the following information.
The Tees Valley Combined Authority has a Group Marketing and
Communications Team – which provides Support Services group and associated
organisations (Combined Authority, Teesworks (South Tees Development
Corporation and South Tees Site Company and South Tees Developments
Limited), Teesside International Airport. This work included support for
the region’s business support provision (Tees Valley Business), inward
investment (Invest Tees Valley) and destination marketing service (Enjoy
Tees Valley)). The marketing and communications activity include the Get
ready for Brexit, EU Exit transition campaigns and COVID-19 Business
advice and support which was amplified locally with budget that was
assigned from Central Government. The following information relates to the
external spend by TVCA (the ‘Combined Authority’).
1) how much was spent by the combined authority on Video Production in the
financial year 2019-2020? - The Combined Authority procured video
production to the value of £43,300 in the financial year 2019-2020.
2) how much was spent by the combined authority on Marketing &
Communications in the financial year 2019-2020? - The Combined Authority
procured Marketing & Communications to the value of £138,719 in the
financial year 2019-2020.
3) how much was spent by the combined authority on Video Production in the
first two quarters of the current financial year (one combined total for
the year to date is fine if that is easier to find)? The Combined
Authority has procured video production in the first two quarters of the
current financial year to the value of £19,921.
4) how much was spent by the combined authority on Marketing &
Communications in the first two quarters of the current financial year
(one combined total for the year to date is fine if that is easier to
find)? The Combined Authority has procured Marketing & Communications in
the first two quarters of the current financial year to the value of
£73,878.
