TV Licensing Letters - Equality Impact Assessment
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Publish a copy of each of the standard harassment letters sent out by TV Licensing to properties that do not have a TV Licence. With each letter also publish the Equalities Impact Assessment that was carried out on each letter, as required by the Equalities Act 2010 to comply with the Public Sector Equality Duty. Specifically explaining how these letters have been assessed with regard to people with disabilities such as learning difficulties, developmental differences or mental health conditions, who will feel threatened, harassed and intimidated by the threats in these letters, and details of what protections are in place to ensure that a disabled person who does not need a TV Licence is not coerced in to purchasing something they do not need because of the unabated torrent of threatening, harassing junk mail that the BBC sends to them.
Yours faithfully,
Sue
