TV licence 'enquiry' visits & immunity from civil suit for trespass
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Other than actions accompanied by a valid court warrant, do the BBC or it's agents (both companies and individuals) have any statutory protection or immunity from being sued by landowners/occupiers under the civil tort of trespass as a result of entering onto land without permission when conducting so-called 'enquiry' or investigation visits to addresses in relation to television licences?
With my sincerest regards and thanks,
M. Forza.

Dear FOI Enquiries,
Since your original response to my request was as insulting as it was useless and, contrary to the findings of your so-called internal review, did not actually state whether or not any information relevant to my request was available, i will naturally be making a complaint to the ICO.
However, as you have now stated that you do not know of any protection in law for you or your agents from legal claims for trespass as a result of your unsolicited 'enquiry' visits, i will infer that no such protection exists.
My sincerest regards,
Max Forza
