I would like to see:

(a) the site selection criteria
(b) and the preferred location for Turing House school
(c) which sites have been assessed and ruled out and why
(d) has an interim solution such as finding a new temporary site with the ability to house the whole school been considered? If so, which sites had been assessed and ruled out and why.

Dear Mr Rowles,
Thank you for your request for an internal review, which was received on 9
February 2019. In your email, you stated that the planning document issued
did not provide all of the requested information. I am dealing with your
request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

In order to carry out a comprehensive internal review of your case, we
require some further information from you. We need to know, with reference
to your initial request, which parts of your request you feel have been
left unanswered.

In your response, please remember to quote the reference number of this
request (2019-0006106). Once we have heard back from you, we will
undertake the internal review.

If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint to the
department and the subsequent review you may then contact the Information
Commissioner’s Office.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Education and Skills Funding Agency,

FAO Peter Roberts

Dear Peter,

The sequential site search is a summary document and does not go in enough detail and we do know that further information has been supplied to Richmond Council’s planning department. We would like a copy of this additional information, and we feel that you would be able to redact any genuinely commercially sensitive information without having to withhold complete documents.

With regards to points in my original request:

(a) The site selection criteria appear to have changed over time. Can you supply the original document with the criteria and any documents showing the changes, if any were made? Please, can you supply the date each site was considered and the date each site was rejected / discounted?

(b) Did any parties related to the school (such as governors, Russel Education Trust, or the school themselves) supply details of potential sites, and the dates each individual site was submitted for consideration?

(c) The information on why some sites were ruled out could be considered ‘thin’ in a number of cases. For example, a number were rejected because of fears of a potential Sport England objection. Please, can you confirm that the reasons contained in the Turing House Sequential Sites Report” are the only ones that exist?

(d) This point hasn’t been fully answered. (i) Did the ESFA look for a temporary site that could accommodate all seven-year cohorts (iii)Can the Clarendon site be adapted to take a sixth form (iiii) what was the criterion for temporary site search?

Yours sincerely

Jon Rowles
