Dear Newcastle upon Tyne City Council,

I would like to know any and all Traffic Regulation Orders relating to Castle Garth, Newcastle Upon Tyne, that are in effect and their dates they came into effect. I have been investigating current existing TRO's and Castle Garth appears on a list of proposed TRO's but currently does not seem to have one.

Can you please assist me with this request.

Yours faithfully,

Eirah Lewis

Dear Eirah,

I refer to your FOI request regarding the Traffic Regulation Orders
applicable on Castle Garth, Newcastle.

Castle Garth is subject to legal orders for both waiting restrictions and
parking places.

I have attached relevant extracts from the following legal orders which
indicate the extent of these restrictions.

1. The City of Newcastle upon Tyne (City Centre Controlled Parking
Zone) Order 2009 . This covers the Double Yellow Line Waiting Restriction
on the whole of Castle Garth (excluding any areas designated as parking

2 The City of Newcastle upon Tyne (On Street Parking Places) Order
2009. This covers the parking areas designated for both Disabled Parking
and Paid Parking on Castle Garth

These restrictions have been in place for many years previous to
these Orders, with the current orders having been
prepared in readiness for the City Council assuming Civil Enforcement
Responsibilities in 2009.

I trust this information is satisfactory for your needs.
