Dear FOI,

This is not the answer to the question that was asked.

I did not ask for the number of trees that have been 'replaced' (inadequately substituted).

How many Highway Trees have been FELLED to date and in total, since the start of the 2.2 billion contract with Amey PLC?

Yours sincerely,
Dr Shetty MRCVS

FOI, Sheffield City Council

Dear Dr Shetty.

Thank you for your query in regard to your FOI response (Our reference 3308).

As per your request for clarification; we note the 4246 figure does relate to the felling of that number of trees. As noted they have all been replaced.

I hope this clarified response assists your enquiries.

Kind regards

Mark

Dear Mr Knight

I did not ask for clarification of whether or not the information provided in the initial response relates to the felling of that number of trees or whether they were replaced.

What I asked for was the TOTAL NUMBER of street trees felled to date as part of the Streets Ahead project.

I believe the number is approaching 5000 and would like confirmation of the exact figure.

So could you tell me what is the TOTAL NUMBER of street trees felled to date, as part of the Streets Ahead project please?

Yours sincerely,
Dr Shetty MRCVS

FOI, Sheffield City Council

Dear Dr Shetty

Thank you for your further correspondence dated 23 February 2017.

We can confirm that as of 27 February 2017, 4,249 highway trees have been removed under the Streets Ahead contract. This is the total number of street trees felled to date as part of the Streets Ahead project as requested.

Kind regards

Mark
