Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,
How many people in Wirral (not Liverpool or North Wales) die each year from falling trees?
Dear Ms Dodd,
Thank you for your recent request for information.
Our response is as follows:
The council is aware on one death in 2016 caused by a falling tree from a
council site. The council is not aware of any other deaths caused by
public or privately owned tress falling on Wirral since this date. From
road accident statistics it would appear that in the last twenty six years
there have been two other fatalities on Wirral caused by trees falling on
to the highway.
I trust this will assist you with your enquiries.
