Dear Mr Smith

Re:      Freedom of Information Request – FOI 79 14 - Depression, Anxiety
and Stress Information

Further to your request for information regarding the above, I am now able
to supply you with the following information:

Request:

I am writing to request the following information for the calendar year
between 1st January 2013 and 1st January 2014:

1          The total number of outpatients diagnosed with the following
conditions:

· Mild to moderate depression

· General anxiety disorder

· Stress

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust Response:

·         Mild to moderate depression – 290 Out-Patients

·         General Anxiety Disorder – 31 Out-Patients

·         Stress – 0 Out-Patients

Please note that the above data has been extracted using the National
Classification Codes as diagnosed by the Consultant treatment the
patient.  It is not a mandatory requirement for this data to be recorded,
therefore, it should be noted that there may be additional clients seen
with these diagnoses that have not been recorded in the above figures.
This data does not include any of the Trust’s Improving Access to
Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services as these are not formally
diagnosed using the ICD-10 coding as listed below.

The Trust has used the following National Classification (ICD-10) Codes to
extract the data above:

·         F32.0 – Mild Depressive Episode

·         F32.1 – Moderate Depressive Episode

·         F41 – Anxiety Disorder (General anxiety disorder)

·         F43 – Reaction to Severe Stress (Stress)

Furthermore, I would like receive information for:

2          The total number of the above for each condition who were
prescribed, issued or recommended the following as a result of their
condition:

· Referral to a specific individual or group therapy programme such as
cognitive behavioural therapy

· Prescription drugs (see below)

· Referral to a specific individual or group exercise programme such as
12-week GP referral schemes

Where the option to refer to one of the above was not available (for
example, if a specific exercise programme does not exist for each
condition’s pathway in the local area, please include this
acknowledgement).

Where more than one option was offered, please include ‘1’ entry for each
pathway offered (for example, where a patient demonstrating anxiety
disorder was offered both prescription drugs and active lifestyle advice
please include ‘1’ entry for each).

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust Response:

Please note that diagnosis is not electronically recorded on a routine
basis on Trust patient systems as requested.  Information is only recorded
for Consultant activity or in-patient stays and information is not linked
to the activity categories outlined in the request above.  In addition to
this, the Trust does not offer all of the activity categories stated in
the request.  A manual trawl of individual records would be required to
provide the information requested.  The Trust estimates that the cost of
complying with your request would exceed the appropriate limit costs under
Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and, therefore, the
Trust is not obliged to comply with your request. The Freedom of
Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations
2004 currently sets the appropriate costs limit at £450.  This represents
the estimated cost of one person spending 2½ (18 hours) working days in
determining whether the Department holds the information and locating,
retrieving and extracting the information.  Under Section 12 of the
Freedom of Information Act, the Trust is not obliged to comply with your
request if this appropriate limit is exceeded.

Therefore, in accordance with Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act
2000, please treat this response as a Refusal Notice in respect of the
information that you have asked for in this question.

3          Where prescription drugs were offered, please specify which
drug was offered for each patient from the list below:

· Benzodiazepines

· Pregabalin

· Serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitors · Selective serotonin
reuptake inhibitors · Valium · Other antidepressants · Other medication
