Travel by personal conveyance

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Department for Transport should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Department for Transport,

Can you please confirm the following:

1) That the common law right to travel still exists;
2) When travelling in your 'personal conveyance' of the day there is no requirement for a license, insurance, road tax or MOT as it is not covered by any statute such as the road traffic act.

Yours faithfully,

Mr S J Warren
