Felicity,

I am an open data representative on the Transparency Board and have been telling DfT since I was appointed that it was completely untenable to have a Transparency Board that didn't publish its minutes! At today's third meeting DfT finally said they would publish minutes fully after ministerial approval was given. Your FOI request just goes to show that it was pointless and a waste of time to ask ministers to take decisions on issues that are covered by FOI legislation.

Minutes of the Transparency Board are now meant to be published on the DfT website... though since I can't find them I have already asked the Chair to tell me where they are (will be...). I am also following the practice of asking to see any document referred to at the Transparency Board and have already FOI'ed one document that they were not ready to give me (see http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/at...).

Any questions... tweet me on @madprof and I will try to answer them... or raise issues on future meeting agendas.
