Transport route proposals from A16 to Theddlethorpe Gas Terminal site of proposed GDF

Radioactive Waste Management Limited did not have the information requested.

Dear Radioactive Waste Management Limited,

The November minutes of Withern Parish Council suggest that confirmation has been received that traffic bound for the Theddlethorpe GDF site would use the A16 to the A157 junction and then at the junction with the B1200 either continue on the A157 via Withern or take the B1200 via Manby.

Can you please tell me if either or both of these routes are to be used to service the Theddlethorpe GDF site ?

Can you please tell me of any other roads that will be used to access the Theddlethorpe GDF site?

Yours faithfully,

Sandra Nicholson

Dear Sandra Nicholson,

Ref: FOI 06636

Thank you for your information request received on 11 February for the
following:

The November minutes of Withern Parish Council suggest that confirmation
has been received that traffic bound for the Theddlethorpe GDF site would

Can you please tell me of any other roads that will be used to access the
Theddlethorpe GDF site?

I have treated your request under the Environmental Information
Regulations. I confirm that we do not hold this information as at this
stage no decisions have been made on transport modes or routes to and from
Theddlethorpe. It is therefore not possible to provide information on what
routes will or will not be used if Theddlethorpe were to be selected as a
GDF location.

To be able to make these decisions, further work and detailed studies must
be undertaken in relation to transport, and Nuclear Waste Services as the
developer of the GDF, plan to carry out these transport feasibility
studies and look at the options, if we move into the Community Partnership
phase of the project.

Please note that Radioactive Waste Management Limited is now operating as
Nuclear Waste Services (NWS). Please send future information requests to
[1][RWM request email].

If you are unhappy with the way in which NWS has dealt with your request,
you have the right to require us to review our actions and decisions. If
you wish to request a review, please reply to this email or write to me at
[2][RWM request email] within 40 working days of receipt of
this response. You will receive a full response to your request for review
within 20 working days of its receipt.

Please remember to quote ref FOI 06636 in any correspondence about this
request.

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
