Request for Information
Thank you for your request for information. The Welsh Government has reason to
believe that the name used to request information as outlined at Annex 1 may be a
pseudonym and, on that basis, we regard the request as invalid and will be taking no
further action on it unless proof of identification can be provided. This is a valid
response to the requirements of Section 8(1) of the Freedom of Information Act, one of
which requires the name of the applicant. The guidance from the Information
Commissioner that states:
For a request to be valid, the requester must provide enough of their real name to
give anyone reading the request a reasonable indication of their identity.
If the requester has used a pseudonym then their request will be invalid.
With proof of identification we will be able to re-consider your request. Proof of
identification (such as a copy of your driving licence, passport or copy of a recent utility

Can the Welsh Government provide a breakdown of funding provided to
Transport for Wales during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the passenger
numbers, any reductions made in staffing or journeys?
