Translation, Interpretation and language services costs
Dear Ipswich Borough Council,
I wish to make an FOI request. Please provide me with the following information for the financial years 2020/2021, 2021/22, 2022/23:
The amount spent by the council on translation, interpretation and language services in all areas of council competence, including:
Primary and secondary schools;
adult social care services and child social care services;
the provision of any social housing for which it has responsibility;
libraries;
recycling and waste collection;
transport;
and other area in which such expenditure has been made.
If, for whatever reason, you are unable to provide the information for a certain facet of your operations please highlight which information cannot be disclosed and continue to disclose the rest of the information.

separated out with the corresponding response, as set out below.
The information supplied has been provided by the department responsible
for the service delivery.

Provision of Social Housing:

2021/22 £2,020.00
2022/23 £8,010.80
Recycling and Waste Collection:
Ipswich Borough Council spent £800 on design work and translations for
multiple languages in 2023. Prior to 2023 Information not held.
Transport:
Ipswich Borough Council has not had any expenditure for language services,
translations or interpretations for transport.
The Council’s spending across all services on translation, interpretation,
and language services has been:
