Transforming Cities Fund, Greater Brighton Area Bid, 2018 Carbon emissions

The request was partially successful.

Dear Brighton and Hove City Council,

Transforming Cities Fund Greater Brighton Area Bid (2018) Annex 14 on Transport Carbon Emissions, lists graphically  the Transport Carbon emissions year by year, showing targets versus actual.

Please list which specific carbon emissions were considered, (e.g. was the carbon cost of new vehicle manufacturing counted?) and how the actuals were measured.

Was this mainly about the council's own direct emissions or did the figures take into account the extra emissions of the City's general traffic due to growing congestion.

With 7% of world wide carbon emissions due to manufacturing concrete, I also want to see how the concrete for major infrastructure projects (e.g. road maintenance near the West Pier), was factored into these figures.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

rob shepherd
