transferred from Home office on 20 Feb
Dear Ministry of Justice,
This relates to a FOI request that the Home Office transferred to you on 20 Feb 2014, Reference : T1992/14
It refers to a FOI answer the Home Office published on its website https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio... which they say they can not answer, and have referred it to yourselves.
It is regarding policing by consent and in section 7 it states "To maintain at all times a relationship with the public that gives reality to the historic tradition that the police are the public and that the public are the police, the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence."
Citizens are NOT required to enFORCE Statutes upon one another, and the "police being only members of the public who are paid to give full time attention to duties..." ARE required to do so. Therefore, the legal validity of the statement in the last paragraph of the above publication, where it states "No individual can chose to withdraw his or her consent from the police, or from a law" demonstrates that to enFORCE any STATUTE upon any citizen without his or her INDIVIDUAL CONSENT is void, ab initio. It appears contrary to the Rule of Law, in accordance with the Home Office's own definition!
So, in accordance with the FOI Act, please provide me with your recorded information regarding what PRECISELY are the "duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence" with regard to enFORCing Statutes upon each other in the same way the police enFORCE Statutes upon citizens?
Thank you kindly,
Yours faithfully,
Sarah Goldsmith

Dear Ministry of Justice,
Thank you for your kind response. However, it does not appear to address the original request in any way, which was for "your recorded information regarding what PRECISELY are the "duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence" with regard to enFORCing Statutes upon each other in the same way the police enFORCE Statutes upon citizens".
Please would you provide that information?
Thank you.
