Transfer of Legacy JSA claim to New Style JSA

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I request full details of the regulations and procedures, which would permit the transfer of
a legacy, old-style Jobseekers Allowance claimant, to New Style JSA.
Where there has been no change of circumstances in the original JSA claim.

Yours faithfully,

Jeff Smith

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Work and Pensions's handling of my FOI request 'Transfer of Legacy JSA claim to New Style JSA'.
It would have not have inconvenienced the department to have provided a genuine answer to this question.
I often think that Caxton House finds it equally amusing not to answer a question, as to answer one.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...

Yours faithfully,

Jeff Smith

Answer The Questions DWP.

WHAT LAW REGULATIONS FORCE OLD JSA ON TO NEW JSA CC.

Job center plus up and down the country are now forcing old JSA agreements to new style cc, old style JSA protects you from the work coach abuse from trying to sanction you all the time the new style Jsa cc is more based on policy. IT PUTS WAY TOMUCH PRESSURE ON THE JOBSEEKER TO DO EVEN MORE!! or face sanction.

It's good that you requested a review:

'However, where an old style Jobseeker’s Allowance claimant has had no change of circumstances that would prompt them to claim Universal Credit, no legislation would be engaged to abolish income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance. This means that there would be no ‘transfer’ to New Style Jobseeker’s Allowance in these circumstances.'
