Freedom Of Information, Brighton and Hove City Council

Please find set out below the information in response to the above request
FOI 7574:

Dear Mr Heale,

Request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the
“Act”)– Previous FoIA  request and publishing (FOI 7574)

Further to your recent request for information held by the Council, I am
writing to confirm that some of the requested information is held by the
Council but some of the information is not. A full explanation is outlined
below.

I apologise for the delay in responding.

Your request and our response

We received your information request on 07 February 2017 and have treated
it as a request for information made under Section 1(1) of the Act.

You requested the following information:

“Please can you let me know whether all of the Freedom Of Information
Questions/Responses were transferred from the Brighton and Hove City
Council F.O.I. Website to the whatdotheyknow.com Website. If not, what
plans do you have to transfer the Questions/Responses that were previously
made on the Brighton and Hove City Council F.O.I. Website.”

The website that hosted our responses was not a Brighton and Hove Council
website.  Users only accessed that external service provider via our
website.

The external service was provided by MySociety. Our contract with
MySociety, which hosted the external Freedom of Information (FOI) website,
was for a two year period between  November 2013 to 2015. Contracts are
regularly reviewed to ensure that we receive and offer the best services
and value for money to all our users. In this case, a decision was taken
not to renew the contract.

It would be up to the company that hosts MySociety and WhatDoTheyKnow. Com
as to whether they decided to transfer all the previous responses.

There is no legal obligation on the Council to publish current or previous
FoIA requests however we are currently looking into a package that will
allow users to track their own FoIA requests and that will allow us to
publish all our responses. There is no implementation date for this
service and there will be no historical data uploaded

Should you have any further queries about this request, please contact us
via email to [1][Brighton and Hove City Council request email] quoting the
reference number given above.

If you are not satisfied with the handling of your request, you can appeal
