Transfer of born-digital records to The National Archives (TNA)

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Education,
Have any born-digital records been transferred to TNA? If so, what is the volume and type of records. If not, when is it anticipated that digital transfers will begin?
Does your department use technology-assisted review for its sensitivity review of digital records or does it still use a file by file approach?

Yours faithfully,

Dr. Lale Özdemir

Dear Dr. Lale Özdemir,

Thank you for your request for information, which was received on
18/05/2021. You requested information on whether any born-digital records
have been transferred to TNA. If so, what is the volume and type of
records? If not, when is it anticipated that the digital transfers will
begin? In addition, you asked if the DfE uses technology-assisted
reviewing for its sensitivity review of digital records or if this is done
still on a file by file approach. I have dealt with your request under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The DfE has not transferred born-digital records to TNA. Digital transfers
are anticipated within the next 12 months.

The DfE has not started the sensitivity review of born-digital records.
