Thank you for your recent information request in which you asked to be
provided with Welsh language transcripts of the 2016 fitness to practise
hearings of a named registrant. Your request has been handled under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

 

I can confirm that the HCPC does not hold the information you have
requested.

We do not hold Welsh transcripts of our hearings as standard. The Welsh
Language Scheme applies only to hearings that were held in Wales, the
hearing you are referring to took place in England and therefore the
scheme does not apply. The below is a quote from the HCPC Welsh Language
Scheme;

 

‘5.2 It should be noted that the arrangements set out in this Scheme only
apply to fitness to practise and appeal proceedings which take place in
Wales.’
