Transactions over £25,000 from January 2024 in machine readable format

We're waiting for Spend Network to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for publishing your data on expenditure over £25,000 here: https://www.rjah.nhs.uk/about-us/publica...
However, I notice that your spend data is in pdf format, which is not machine readable and so cannot be used for data analysis. Under 2.26 of Guidance for publishing spend (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk...) publishers are to publish in a CSV file format rather than a PDF format.

Therefore, I would like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act for all transactions over £25,000 from January 2024. Please provide the spend data in the CSV format which is machine readable. As a minimum, please make sure to include the date, value and recipient of each transaction. Please also provide details on the procurement category of each transaction if you have it.

Your team may be interested in the guidance on producing spending data, which specifies that the data must be published in a machine readable format: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio.... Can you send over the CSV files for trans over £25k for Jan 2024 - the
requestor has asked for CSV as they cannot use the PDF files on the
website as it is not machine readable - attached 

I trust that this deals with your enquiry to your satisfaction, but if you
feel that the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS
Foundation Trust has misunderstood or not responded appropriately to your
request, you have two courses of action:

 

• You can clarify the terms of your original request to allow this to be
looked at again (if you expand your request this will be dealt with as
a new request)

 

• All applicants have the right of appeal. An appeal should be focused
on the original request and should identify how the Trust’s response
failed to answer your Information Request. Appeals must be made in
writing to the FOI Lead at the address below.

 

After the Trust’s internal appeals procedure has been exhausted, a further
appeal about the same information request can be directed to the
Information Commissioner for adjudication. Appeals to the Information

Dear Sir or Madam,

On 18th March 2024, I sent you a FOI request for your expenditure over £25,000 from January 2024 to present in machine readable format. It was allocated the reference FOI/541.

On 20th April, you forwarded our request to the replated department but they never got back to us .

However, the guidance for publishing spend data for government departments states:
2.10 Spend is to be published one month in arrears, ie by the last working day of the month following the month to which the data relates. If the data is available before the end of the month, it should be published as soon as the department has cleared it for release. This data is to be published in individual monthly files.
2.11 You should not hold up the publication of your data where you have unresolved individual queries. You should publish the cleared data within the publication timescales, and amend the data at a later date if necessary. See section 2.5 for further detail on applying redactions to the data.
