Dear Home Office,
With effect from 25 November 2016 the Immigration (EEA) Regulations 2006 were replaced in so called "Surinder Singh" cases in which a British citizen is treated as an EEA national for the purpose of being accompanied by family members when returning from another EU Member State. There are transitional provisions in place for certain categories of people including those family members who had received or had made an application for a Residence Card by 31 December 2013, under the 2006 Regulations.
I would be grateful for the release of any new policy guidance and training slides for Home Office officials, particularly with regards to these transitional provisions, to ascertain what training has been provided to caseworkers on how they should process Resident Card renewal applications, or Permanent Resident Card applications, for those who have transitional provision.
Dear J Clare,
Thank you for contacting the Home Office with your request.
This email has been assigned to a caseworker case ref 47349. We will aim
to send you a full response by 14/03/2018 which is twenty working days
from the date we received your request.
If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact us.
Dear Home Office,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Home Office's handling of my FOI request 'Training slides / guidance for those with transitional provision'.
I note that I was due a reply by 14 March 2018 and a reply has not yet been received, which indicates this response is now overdue.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/t...
