On the 31st of May 2023, the DWP stated that "we do not have colleagues holding the role of Decision Maker working within the PIP
process". This is entirely false.

The DWP's "Advice for decision making: staff guide" (ADM) repeatedly refers to DMs throughout the sections related to PIP, and the ADM's "List of abbreviations" confirms that DM is the abbreviated form of Decision Maker.

Of particular note is ADM Chapter P2 ("Assessment for PIP"). Paragraph P2002 states "This will be determined by a DM using the information gathered during the PIP assessment".

I would strongly recommend asking for an Internal Review of their initial response - the DWP provided incorrect information as the basis for its refusal of your initial request (and therefore unlawfully delayed the eventual response to your request).

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Work and Pensions's handling of my FOI request 'Training Provided to DWP Decision Makers personal independence payment'.

Whilst you provided some of the information you did not provide an answer to “ Please also provide me the names of all the other PIP training modules thank you”

Let me clarify this refers to the names / numbers of the training modules that case managers / decision makers refer to either to make decisions or receive training on how to make decisions regarding PIP or training about disabilities, if you can provide a brief description what those modules cover great
