Training on changes to Family Migration rules
Dear Home Office,
I hope this finds you well. The impact assessment into the introduction of the Minimum Income Requirement estimates that the cost of training (then ) UKBA staff in the implementation of the new rules would be around £0.1 million in the first year alone, covering half a day of training for 500 casework staff and an hour of training for 4000 other staff.
Can you confirm that this was the level of training provided in the first instance? Can you also confirm the amount of training caseworkers received following the July 2017 changes to immigration rules occasioned by the judgement in MM (Lebanon)) v Secretary of State for the Home Department?
Yours faithfully,
M Atkinson
