I request all details of training given to managers in relation to
'exceptional circumstances' as detailed in the sickness policy.

Your request has been processed and considered under the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and the information is provided below.

This is covered within the Sickness Absence e-learning module which is
available to employees and managers via the Council intranet.

We have made it clear that this is essential learning for
managers. Furthermore ‘exceptional circumstances’ is covered within the
Sickness Absence Guide and managers can seek advice from HR if they need
further guidance beyond that covered within the e-learning and
policy/guide.
