Trainee police officer, [Jason Hicks] 'who groomed 100 girls' Daily Mail
Dear Devon and Cornwall Constabulary,
Daily Mail:
'A former trainee police officer has been jailed for grooming as many as one hundred girls, as young as nine, by sending sexual messages and explicit images of himself online.
The article states that officer Hicks 'was immediately arrested and suspended and subsequently dismissed without notice'.

1. Please provide the dates he was arrested, suspended and dismissed.
Normally, police officers facing criminal proceedings are dismissed after their trial by a decision of a police disciplinary tribunal.
2. Can you confirm that officer Hicks was dismissed in accordance with Regulation 13 of the Police Regulations 2003?
3. Please provide the number of weeks that it takes before a trainee officer becomes a fully-fledged officer. If the figure varies from officer to officer, please provide the shortest and the longest time it took to train officers recruited in the calendar year 2020.
Yours faithfully,
J Roberts
