Thank you for your enquiry, which has been forwarded to the appropriate

working days, that is by or on 10.05.19.

If for any reason the Council needs to extend this timescale you will be

Dear Mr Roberts,

I refer to your request dated 9^th April 2019, which has been dealt with
under the Freedom of Information Act.

Your request related to Traffic Regulation Orders affecting Public Rights
of Way.

We have now completed a search for the information which you requested and
confirm that this Authority holds some data relevant to your request.

I am now able to respond to you with the following:

West Sussex County Council (WSCC) makes various Traffic Regulation Orders
(TROs) and Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs) in its role as
highway authority managing the county’s Public Rights of Way (PROW)
network.  You have asked specifically to include Orders to Byways Open to
All Traffic (BOATs), Unclassified County Roads (UCRs) and Other Routes
with Public Access (ORPAs). In West Sussex the PROW network includes BOATs
whilst UCRs are termed Public Ways or G-class Highways and are managed by
the WSCC PROW Service; ORPAs are not, unless given a Public Way
designation, managed by WSCC PROW Service.

There are very few TROs in this county.  Those that exist can be viewed on
our webpage via the following link:

Regarding TTROs, this list is constantly changing.  Attached is a list of
TTROs extant on 11^th April 2019 in accordance with your request. TTROs
for the longer term closures can be found via the link below; shorter term
TTROs are generally not published within the link due to the turn-around
time of the Order and lead-in times for updates to our webpages.  The
attached list, however, does include these.
