Traffic regulation on St Andrew's Street, Cambridge
This request relates to the parts of Regent Street and St Andrew's Street in Cambridge between the
rising bollards near Park Terrace and the junction with Emmanuel Street.
Until recently, the signs on this section of road indicated that only buses, taxis, and cycles were allowed
to use it in a northbound direction. Now the signs only permit buses and cycles (and not taxis).
Could you please send me a copy of the traffic regulation order or other instrument that underlies this
change in the signs? I didn't find it when I looked through the traffic regulation orders at Castle Court
reception this afternoon.
There is not a Traffic Regulation Order which precludes taxis from using St Andrews Street.
Unfortunately the incorrect signs were installed but have now been replaced with the correct signs that
show buses, cycles and taxis are all permitted through the bollards. Apologies for any inconvenience
caused.
