Trade union stops DWP investigating my complaint.

Peter Powell made this Freedom of Information request to Independent Case Examiner

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Independent Case Examiner,

On October 3rd, I made a complaint to DWP in respect of a data breach which occurred through a telephone call from DWP CEO office. This call was recorded.

It has taken DWP from October 2017 up until February 2018 to inform me that they can not accept a copy of my telephone recording following trade union consultations.

My request to yourselves is for any information, guidance, policy or legislation which gives the Trade Union power to stop DWP from accepting a copy of my evidence in order to uphold the complaint.

If no information exists and DWP can infact accept a copy of my telephone recording, please let me know this also.

Yours faithfully,

Peter Powell
