Dear North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agent

I refer you to a section of the TRA40 between the villages of Trecastle and Sennybridge.

This section has a lane closure and temporary traffic signals in place, due to what i understand is a landslip, and been in place for two years or more.

In light of the already lengthy time scale: Would you advise on the current status of this site as of June 2021, in terms of planned remedial works, available funding, and the envisaged completion date.

I look forward to your reply, Many thanks.

Yours faithfully

Christopher Rees

Dear Christopher Rees,

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the A40 between Trecastle and
Sennybridge. As of June 2021 the site is undergoing a final phase of
ground investigation and environmental surveys due to the complex ground
conditions and extremely sensitive environmental nature of the site with
remedial design works proceeding in the background, there is funding for
the scheme and construction is anticipated to start this Autumn with
completion anticipated to be Summer 2022.

Kind Regards,
