Tour de France costs
Dear Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council,
I understand from Leeds City Council that you have contributed either directly or indirectly to the costs of the Tour de France taking place in Yorkshire.
Please would you provide the total costs which you incurred either directly or indirectly to the staging of the event and a breakdown of those costs.
If you do not yet know these costs, then please can you provide the date by when you will know them.

In August 2013 Cabinet agreed a sum of £817,515 to support the Tour de France coming through Calderdale, this was based on estimated costs for the project provided by the central co-ordinating team TDF Hub 2014 Ltd. The table below 9.4.8 of the attached report details on the left hand side the breakdown of the range of costs.
In addition TDF Hub allocated £126,898 towards the project which was a mixture of grant and procurement allocation.
Calderdale has been able to claim full costs back from TDF Hub and received a further £90,267 from the Leeds City Region towards the cost which has enabled the Council to remain within budget.
The amount allocated within the Calderdale budget for highway and associated work for the Tour de France was £370,000. Some of the existing highway maintenance programme (around £697,000) planned for the route was also prioritised alongside that necessary for the Tour.
