Total spending on staff within PPI in Northern Ireland

Dear Public Health Agency for Northern Ireland,

I am aware that the PHA has designated key staff with PPI responsibility, including Mary Hinds, Michelle Tennyson, Martin Quinn, Roisin Kelly, Claire Fordyce and five Trust PPI leads. That totals 10.

Please outline how many PHA and Trust staff are employed to carry out PPI work (those included and those I have missed) and the salaries designated to each role in the financial year 2016-17, to total the amount spent that year on PPI staffing in NI between PHA and HSCT's and other organisations if applicable.

I was just reading your response. You have outlined 3 PPI staff members, however I have outlined 5 PPI staff members. I am unsure why there are 2 staff members missing in your response. I refer to your e-mail dated 2nd June 2017 regarding PPI staff numbers. The additional two staff you cited are the Director and Assistant Director. As advised in my previous email, the Director and Assistant Director with responsibility for PPI are not dedicated PPI posts and PPI responsibilities form part of a wide portfolio. It is therefore not possible to identify what proportion of their salaries relates specifically to PPI.
