On June 20th 2023 Andy McDonald MP of the BIS Parliamentary Committee asked CEO POL Nick Read how much in total of all the bonus paid in error was returned by all those who received it. (Q 65 Committee transcript)
Mr Read did not have this information at the time and so verbally promised Mr MacDonald he would get it and provide to the Committee.
I am asking if Mr Read has now done so and if I may see the answer as to the total amount returned (not just that returned by Mr Read).

I am still waiting for the information which you indicated would be given at the latest by August 4th 2023.
I wrote to you and you received my request on July 6th. The request was for the information which Nick
Read promised to give to Darren Jones MP and the BIS Parliamentary Committee which is chaired by Mr Jones- which Mr Read CEO of POL did not have to hand at the time he was interviewed by the Committee. This concerned the total amount returned by all those at Post Office who received a bonus based on the metric for cooperation with the Public Inquiry. Mr Read returned £7000 approx net of his bonus or £13,000 gross approx and this information was made public by Mr Read and POL. I am still waiting for the total figure for all the other money returned based on this metric, and if this money that has been returned constitutes the total owed or if there are any monies outstanding that have not been returned and if so by how many persons and eho these persons are and why?

I requested information from the Post Office over a month ago. I asked for the total amount of the bonus remuneration received by all those who received it on the Post Office Board which had been based on a false metric as published in the Post Office annual report in February (and revealed in May 2023). Nick Read, CEO if the Post Office we know had returned £7000 net of the total bonus he received, and had promised to give the outstanding information to the Parliamentary Business and Industry Committee in June when questioned by BIS Cttee and its Chair Darren Jones MP , but did not have the information to hand at the time of the interview. The proceedings were televised.
The Post Office left it to the last minute at 5pm on August 4th to write to me to tell me that information had
been delayed and they were not in a position to give me that information on that day. No other explanation was given. I feel Post Office are breaking the law as regards timely responses to FOI and failure to explain in any comprehensive way why they have failed to do this. It could be that they have also failed to give the information to BIS as promised publicly. It could be that they are awaiting to give financial information to the Post Office Minister Mr Kevin Hollinrake first which may include information about the bonus based on the false metric. This metric was an inappropriate one that stated the Board of POL would be given a bonus payment for cooperating with the Statutory Public Inquiry and that the Inquiry's Chair Sir Wyn Williams had approved this, which Sir Wyn when he found out about it, said he had not. In fact he had known nothing about it.
