Dear Dunstable Town Council,
I would like to know a.) The total cost of production of 'Talk of the Town' between June 2015 and March 2019. b) Whether editorial content decisions are made by officers or members and if such decisions are made by officers, when these are reviewed by members.

Mr Pepworth – thank you for your freedom of information request.  The
response to your two questions are given below.

 

1.       The total cost of production for Talk of the Town between June
2015 and March 2019 is as follows:

·         Design and print costs - £53, 381.16

·         Distribution costs - £15,360

·         This covers 15 separate editions with an average print run of
16,000 copies per edition.  It does not include officer time for preparing
copy.

 

2.       Each Talk of the Town is compiled by a collaboration between
officers from across Council departments.  There is no member involvement
in either the compilation of articles or editorial other than the Mayoral
address at the beginning of each edition.  Editing decisions are made by
officers.
